After some time, a butterfly comes out. Nature has painted their wings beautifully, and children love watching them.

Visit to Zoo
On 1st January last I went to the Alipur zoo with my parents.
There was a large queue outside the zoo.
We had to wait a long time to get to the zoo.
Entering there I felt that I was in a different world.
There I found different kinds of deer and zebras.
We also saw different types of birds and animals.
Next we visited tigers and lions pacing proudly.
We entered the reptile house to see snakes and crocodiles,
The elephants in the zoo catch coins with their trunks.
The rhinoes, girraffes and camels all were attractive.
I was very much charmed by the beauty of migratory birds.
In fine, it was a pleasant and memorable day to us.

The National Flag
We have a national flag.
It has three colours and a chakra on it.
Each colour has a meaning.
Orange at the top stands for courage.
The white middle means peace and purity.
The green bottom tells of growth and wealth .
There is the Asoka Chakra at the centre.
Asoka was a great peace-Ioving king.
The chakra stands for peace and progress.
We must respect our national flag.
It is the symbol of Indian unity.
We will keep up its honour.

Mother keeps the house always clean.
Home is the lovely place of peace.
It is the heaven on our earth.

Our School
I read in Rahamania Mission .
It is located at Amtala in Murshidabad district.
It is not far from our house.
The school building is very big and airy.
There are twenty rooms and a library here.
We have a playground in front of the school.
We play there at the lunch break.
Five hundred students attend the school.
Here we have twenty-two teachers.
They teach us with care and kindness.
They love us dearly and deeply.
We love, honour and obey them.
We are proud of our School.

My Daily Routine
I get out of bed at 6 o’clock in the morning.
I wash my face and brush my teeth.
I have my breakfast at 7 o'clock.
I Prepare (m am my lessons till 9 am:
I read two hours and a half in the morning.
Then I have my bath in fresh water.
I put on my school uniform and do my hair.
Mother serves me lunch at 10 o’clock.
After lunch I start for school at half past ten.
I walk to school with some friends.
I reach school ten minutes before school time
We stand in the prayer line just at 11 am.

My Hobby
Hobby is doing something daily during leisure.
It gives us pleasure and it is a pleasant pastime.
My hobby is gardening and daily I go to my garden.
I spade the soil and sow some seeds for growing up.
I water them with the help of my mother.
Mother also helps me to get new plants for the garden.
I plant some flower plants too by the side of the fence.
Soon flowers and vegetables come onto the plants.
Plants look beautiful with flowers' and vegetables.
I enjoy them with my family.
My hobby pleases me and pays my family.
It gives us pleasure and profit.

Water is a colourless liquid.
We drink water daily.
Man, animals and plants take it. Water can flow freely.
Two-third of the earth is full of water.
But we cannot drink that water.
Underground water is pure.
We drink tube well water.
Rain water is also pure water.
We should hold it for future use.
Pure water is very costly.
We must not waste drinking water.

The Seasons of Bengal
There are six seasons in Bengal.
The hottest season summer comes in May.
In this season the sun shines hot and sultry.
The rainy season comes just after the hot summer.
During the rains, it pours (226410 ft) almost regularly.
Next comes autumn, the season of festivals.
At this time Bengalees enjoy the greatest festive Durgapuja.
Late autumn is the time to reap the crops.
After autumn, winter comes with its cool air, fog and snow.
Winter is the season of fairs, festivals, flowers and X-mas.
Spring makes our nature beautiful and colourful.
All these six seasons make our Bengal 'Rupasi Bangla'.

It lasts two months—December and January.
The sky remains clear, bright and blue in the noon.
The season gives us pleasant sunshine.
We use woollens and quilt to beat the cold.
The poor suffer most in this season.
It is a bad time for the poor.
Winter is a season of flowers and fruits.
Oranges and marigold (sitat) are commom gifts of winter.
Winter is also the time for festivals and fairs.
This is the time to enjoy the picnic and circus.
